OFFICIAL PETERSON WEBSITE

Thanks to my son, Todd, I have a little space to play with. I would like to make some information and family photos available for everyone, in hopes of informing generations to follow. I have created a number of pages for my own entertainment. They were meant to be entertaining, and in many cases, humorous. Language and subject matter may be offensive to some readers.  If you have a correction or comment, please contact pete@thepetersonranch.com. I encourage suggestions!

Stuff from family:

This album was sent to me by my brother, Dale. It was put together by my mother.

http://www.petesmemories.com/Dale's%20Album

I also received a box with several albums, and some loose photos.

See the loose photos at http://www.petesmemories.com/dlsbxpt1.html.

The rest are in albums. The first album is in three parts. It was my mother’s album, and it is on a black background. It contains photos from the mid forties, to the mid to late fifties. There are over three hundred items to view. I will show them in groups of approximately one hundred items. This expedites the download, as I am using an older laptop to create these pages.

Harold Peterson’s Stamp Collection

http://www.petesmemories.com/stamp.html

This is a collection put together by my father. I wonder if any of these are valuable, other than their sentimental value. They mostly predate 1940. I have added new scans of his ongoing collection.

Irma Johnson/Peterson

http://www.petesmemories.com/irma.html

This page is dedicated to my mother. I don’t have a lot of photos of the Johnsons, especially photos of my mother, before she graduated high school. This page starts with her graduation picture, which was signed on the back, I’m assuming by a teacher??

I will continue to add to this page.

Gram’s Pan.

Mom was a great cook. I’m struggling to learn to make things taste the way she made them. Here’s a page for my grandsons (four, so far). Some “one pan” wonders, to keep you from starving to death.

How about some Pitneys?

Agnes Pitney Photo Album

Agnes Peterson made two albums that I have scanned. There are others I am aware of.

This is part a of the first.

My aunt Agnes was married twice. Her second marriage was to Willard Pitney.

They loved the outdoors. Fishing, first, then rockhounding.

The photos that you see showing the lapidary shop and display cases were passed on to my father. When he passed away, they came down to me.

Most of these photos are of their favorite fishing spots.

Album 1 was done in two parts.

Morocco

I had the pleasure of working for Northrop as a technical publications analyst. As validations coordinator, it was my responsibility to validate the procedures for maintenance on the inertial navigation system, on Morocco’s F-5 fighter aircraft. I took a few photos.

Okinawa; My first trip overseas. I went to kindergarten, and first grade in Okinawa.

http://www.petesmemories.com/okinawa.htm

These were pictures taken in Okinawa in the late 1940s and early 1950s. There is a military awards presentation shown, also, the Quonset living quarters, and fun on the beach. There are some new things I received from Dale. They can be found in Dale’s Album, and Dale’s box. See above.

Newfoundland

See this first!

I originally put this up as http://www.petesmemories.com/nfld.html but it took so long to load, I divided it into two parts. The original part was modified to show my personal photos. I will add to this as I find them.

I attended High School in Newfoundland my freshman and sophomore years. (1961-1962) These are yearbooks from Harmon High, from those two years.

This is My brother, Dale’s copy of the 1961 yearbook.

I am unable to find my copy. It was signed by all my friends, and acquaintances. A tragic loss!

 The Petersons

A scrapbook by Martha Peterson

http://www.petesmemories.com/template.html

This is a scrapbook, put together by my grandmother, Martha Boe/Peterson. The main subject is a return trip to Norway. This trip was made in 1948. If you check out bunch 13a, you will find Grandma and Grandpa’s passport. In the back pages you will find where Grandpa became a citizen of the U.S.A.

http://www.petesmemories.com/bunch13a.html  Grandpa Peterson’s passport is among these images.

 http://www.petesmemories.com/gpalb.html

There are two small albums, put together by my grandmother. My Uncle Egbert is the subject of one, and my dad is the subject of the other.
